The ball mill is generally composed of barrel, liner, feeder, ejector, hollow shaft, bearing, transmission, and lubrication system. Understand the structure and function of the ball mill, which is conducive to the maintenance of the equipment and prolong the service life of the mill. Henan Zhengzhou Mining Machinery Co.,Ltd. will give you a detailed introduction to the structure and function of the ball mill. 1. The circular cylinder is welded from several 12-15mm thick steel plates, welded at both ends with flange plates to connect with the cast steel feed end caps and discharge end caps. The cylinder body is equipped with a replaceable liner. In order to make the lining plate in close contact with the inner wall of the cylinder and buffer the impact of the steel ball on the cylinder body, a plywood is applied between the lining plate and the inner wall of the cylinder. In order to facilitate the replacement of the liner and check the internal condition of the cylinder, a manhole is opened in the cylinder. The manhole is mostly rectangular and the length is generally 350-550 mm. 2. The feed section consists of end caps with a hollow journal, a combination feeder, a sector liner, and a journal inner sleeve. The hollow journal inner sleeve prevents the feed material from abrading the inner surface of the journal, and the inner surface of the inner sleeve has a helix to aid in feeding. The feeder is bolted to the end of the inner sleeve. The combined feeder is generally used, followed by drum feeders and pan feeders. 3. The discharge part is composed of end caps with hollow journals, lattice liners, wedges, center liners, and journal inner sleeves. There are eight radial ribs cast on the inner wall of the end caps. Between each two ribs are lattice liners, which are squeezed and fixed with wedge iron. The wedge iron is fastened to the end cap by screws through the ribs on the wall. In the center part, all the lattice linings are supported by the center lining. The inner sleeve of the hollow journal is made into flared blades at one end of the discharge grid to guide the eluted pulp from the partition to flow out along the blades. The entire discharge section is fastened to the cylinder flange like the feed section. 4. The transmission consists of a large gear ring, a pinion, a transmission shaft, and an elastic coupling. The mill barrel is rotated by a motor via a coupling through a gear transmission. The gear transmission consists of a ring gear and a transmission gear mounted on the discharge end of the cylinder. The transmission gear is mounted on the transmission shaft. The transmission shaft supports two double-row self-aligning rolling bearings in the bearing seat. The gear is completely covered with a dust cover. 5. The hollow bearing of the main bearing ball mill is supported on the self-aligning main sliding bearing. The main bearing consists of the lower bearing seat, bearing cover, lower bearing bush with surface babbitt alloy, cylindrical pin and sealing pressure ring. The bearing housing and the lower bearing are spherically contacted to compensate for mounting errors. Cylindrical pins are placed in the center of the spherical surface of the base and the pad to prevent the pad from slipping out of the housing. The oil in the intake pipe is scalloped through the injection port to lubricate the bearing on the journal, and the lubricated oil flows back to the tank through the drain pipe. 6. The circulation lubrication system transmission gear is lubricated with dry oil, and the rolling bearing at both ends of the transmission shaft adopts special lubrication bearings and moving parts of the transmission shaft. The oil flowing out from the bearing flows from the oil discharge pipeline at the bottom of the bearing housing to the oil tank. The construction of the overflow ball mill is basically the same as that of the lattice type ball mill except that there is no nesting grid in the discharge end of the cylinder. In addition, an anti-helical blade is installed on the inner surface of the hollow shaft bushing to return the spherules and coarse nuggets generated in the slurry to the mill.
