When the material moves in the ceramsite equipment, the material is mixed, heated or chemically reacted, and the processed material is continuously discharged from the kiln head.
The obvious characteristic of the operation of the ceramsite equipment is that the section filling rate of the solid material is very low, and there is a large free space for gas circulation above it. The conversion of materials in the ceramsite equipment is mainly achieved by the reaction in the layer, while the free-flowing gas stream mainly acts as a heat supply to the layer and a gas product generated in the receiving layer.
The heat source of the ceramsite equipment is mainly provided by the feed of the main nozzle provided at the outlet or inlet end of the material and the combustion of the assisted air. Since the main nozzle can only start from one end of the ceramsite equipment, it is difficult to form a fire filling within a limited distance. Therefore, in order to adjust the axial distribution of the temperature of the material layer in the kiln, the material reaction is more sufficient, and the reaction conditions are improved. Some ceramsite equipment has some auxiliary nozzles arranged in different parts of the axial direction to act as air injection, auxiliary fuel or auxiliary reaction materials.
